Educational product: NBHDer provides North Carolina property-tax relief education, deadlines, reminders, official links, and county tools as planned releases come online. It does not provide legal or tax advice or act as a county appraisal office.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information you provide
- Parceley questions: text you submit for educational Q&A
- Optional homeowner profile (device only): if you opt in, you may save birth year and optional signals (disability, veteran status) locally on your device for personalized reminder suggestions — we do not use this to determine eligibility for tax relief programs
1.2 Information collected automatically
- Usage data: pages/screens viewed, features used, approximate timestamps
- Device data: device type, OS version, app version, language
- Network data: IP address, request logs (for security and rate limiting)
1.3 County rollout information
County-specific features may ask for an address or parcel number only when that county feature is part of the current release. NBHDer does not ask for non-public county data and does not display owner names or mailing addresses as part of the app experience.
1.4 County public record data
Historical prototype datasets may be retained privately for research and future county discussions. County data modules require documented source review, technical and privacy review, approved fields, clear official-boundary language, and a defined refresh plan before broader public release.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide North Carolina relief guidance, deadlines, reminders, county rollout features, Parceley answers, and educational content
- Send local notifications you enable (e.g. tax calendar reminders) — processed on your device
- Improve reliability, security, and product quality
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Use
We do not sell your personal information.
3. How We Share Information
We may share information with:
- Service providers (hosting, analytics) under contracts that limit use — see Subprocessors below
- County partners — approved aggregate usage statistics if covered by a county agreement. Aggregation reduces identification risk but is not represented as mathematically anonymous.
- Legal requirements — if required by law or to protect rights and safety
We do not share optional homeowner profile fields from your device with counties unless you separately consent to a feature described in the App.
4. Parceley and Artificial Intelligence
Parceley answers are generated from curated educational templates and county/statute citations. Your questions may be logged server-side for quality and abuse prevention. We do not use your questions to train models.

6. Security
We use measures including encryption in transit (TLS), administrative access controls, rate limiting, and platform logs. Independent uptime monitoring, a penetration test, and SOC 2 certification are not currently claimed. No method is 100% secure. Report concerns to connect@zerebraldesigns.com.
7. Children
NBHDer is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
8. Your Choices
- Notifications: disable in App or OS settings
- Optional profile: clear in App profile settings or uninstall
- Access / deletion: email connect@zerebraldesigns.com with subject "Privacy request" — we will respond within 30 days
9. North Carolina and Public Records
Questions about a specific property's record or official valuation belong to the appropriate county tax office and official county systems.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the new date at the top and, for material changes, provide in-App or Site notice.
